Meet our Senior Leadership Team

Miss Turner

Executive Headteacher

Miss Turner began her teaching career as a Teacher of PE in Secondary Mainstream education. Gaining a Master’s Degree in Special Educational Needs three years into her career, she began working across alternative provisions.
Miss Turner has held many roles across her career, from teacher through to Deputy Head of School and SENDCo where she was able to achieve her national SEND Co-ordination Award with Northampton University. She has also worked within the SEMH sector as a Deputy Headteacher, Head of School and DSL, driving improvement in behaviour and attitudes, and quality of teaching and learning. During this time Miss Turner secured her National Professional Qualification in Headship.
Miss Turner was part of Woodlands Academy school improvement journey where she led the team as Headteacher to secure ‘Good’ in all areas when Ofsted visited in April 2024. She also supports the Trust with delivering the National Professional Qualification in leading Behaviour and Culture as a facilitator and assessor for aspiring leaders across Lincolnshire as well as delivering on the PGCE teacher training course at Bishop Grosseteste University Lincoln.
Miss Turner is Executive Headteacher of two CIT Schools – Chapel St Leonard’s Primary School and Woodlands Academy.

Miss Hanson

Assistant Headteacher & Designated Safeguarding Lead

Miss Hanson is one of our Assistant Headteachers here at Chapel, as well as being the Designated Safeguarding Lead. She has been at Chapel for 6 years and has taught across both key stages. Miss Hanson is passionate about making sure learning is sequenced and adapted to ensure no learner is left behind. She has strategically developed the curriculum at Chapel to provide the best educational offer to pupils.

Miss Hanson also works as a maths specialist for the NCETM, including leading work groups for maths leads in other schools to support them in developing maths in their own settings.

Miss Pettit

Assistant Headteacher & EYFS/Key Stage 1 Lead

Miss Petit has been teaching for 12 years in a variety of different education settings across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. With a key specialism is EYFS and KS1, Miss Petit spent 8 years as a member of a Senior Leadership Team as EYFS Leader, KS1 Leader, English Leader and Early Reading Leader. She has also supported schools with developing and improving phonics teaching and practise and was an ambassador the synthetic systematic phonics scheme, as well as developing sporting provision through leading PE across a school.

Miss Petit is one of our Assistant Headteachers here at Chapel. She was instrumental in the opening of Little Seahorses (our new Nursery provision) in April 2024.
