Meet our Staff

Mrs Borrell

Headteacher & DSL

Mrs Borrell has been teaching for over 24 years. She has held various roles over her career including Designated Teacher for Looked After Children (LAC), SEND, Safeguarding, SLT and Deputy Head.
Sherri has achieved the National SENDCo Award and has a Diploma in SEND along with NPQH, NPQSL and NPQBC. She has worked closely with children with ASD, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and thoroughly believes that the child should be at the centre of everything we do in school.

Miss Hanson

Assistant Headteacher & DDSL

Miss Hanson is one of our Assistant Headteachers here at Chapel, as well as being the Designated Safeguarding Lead. She has been at Chapel for 6 years and has taught across both key stages. Miss Hanson is passionate about making sure learning is sequenced and adapted to ensure no learner is left behind. She has strategically developed the curriculum at Chapel to provide the best educational offer to pupils.

Miss Hanson also works as a maths specialist for the NCETM, including leading work groups for maths leads in other schools to support them in developing maths in their own settings.

Miss Pettit

Assistant Headteacher & EYFS/Key Stage 1 Lead

Miss Pettit has been teaching for 12 years in a variety of different education settings across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. With a key specialism is EYFS and KS1, Miss Pettit spent 8 years as a member of a Senior Leadership Team as EYFS Leader, KS1 Leader, English Leader and Early Reading Leader. She has also supported schools with developing and improving phonics teaching and practise and was an ambassador the synthetic systematic phonics scheme, as well as developing sporting provision through leading PE across a school.

Miss Pettit is one of our Assistant Headteachers here at Chapel. She was instrumental in the opening of Little Seahorses (our new Nursery provision) in April 2024.
