Our School Vision, Values and Mission Statement

As a CIT School we adopt and follow all the Trust Values of:
• Honesty and Integrity
• Aspiration
• Professionalism
• Inclusivity
Alongside these we have our own motto and school rules that work within the community we serve:

Our School Vision
To create a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational school community where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

Our School Mission Statement
At Chapel St Leonards Primary School and Nursery, we are committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive education where all pupils are supported to thrive regardless of need or background. We foster positive relationships, high expectations and a strong sense of belonging so that every learner develops confidence, resilience and a love of learning. Through collaboration with families, staff and external partners, we ensure pupils receive the right support at the right time, enabling them to succeed both within school and beyond.

School Motto

Chapel Star Rules

The school’s values are embedded throughout daily school life and are reflected clearly within the Chapel Star Rules, which provide pupils with a child-friendly understanding of the behaviours, attitudes and personal qualities expected across the school community. The rules promote kindness, honesty, respect, resilience, positive relationships and a love of learning, reinforcing the school’s commitment to inclusion, belonging and high aspirations for all. Through consistent use across classrooms, assemblies, pastoral support and behaviour systems, the Chapel Star Rules help pupils understand how to contribute positively to the school environment while supporting the development of respectful, responsible and inclusive citizens.
